Titan® 12-Turn 550 Motor

The Rustler 4X4’s powerful Titan 12T 550 motor is made for dirt-roosting torque, lightning-quick acceleration, big-air jumps, and just about any other 4-wheel fun that demands real horsepower. The Titan’s oversize armature features 12 turns of pure copper wire for big torque and increased power-handling. The integrated cooling fan pulls cool air through the motor to keep temperatures down for more fun behind the wheel. The Titan 12T requires very little maintenance and provides consistent torque and high speeds run-after-run.

XL-5 Waterproof Electronic Speed Control

The waterproof XL-5 Electronic Speed Control handles the elements while smoothly supplying power to the motor. The XL-5 features three throttle profiles, low voltage detection, Thermal Shutdown Protection, 4-7 cell NiMH and 2-cell LiPo compatibility, and built-in BEC. High frequency operation combined with ultra-low resistance make the XL-5 an efficient and ultra-smooth fully proportional speed control. The exclusive and patented Training Mode™ reduces the overall power output of the XL-5 by 50%, making it easier for young or new drivers to develop their control skills before unleashing full-power.

Modular Simplicity

Rustler 4X4’s modular chassis allows the entire front section to be removed with just 5 screws, and the rear assembly with just 4 screws. In less than a minute using a power screwdriver, you have full access for easy service and adjustment.

Switch on the power and drive! That’s all there is to it with the TQ™ 2.4GHz radio system. There are no frequencies to manage, so the focus is on having fun. Traxxas 4-amp DC Peak Detecting Fast Charger

Rustler 4X4 includes a 4-amp peak detecting charger for quick, convenient, hassle-free charging. The charger uses a 12-Volt DC power outlet for charging charging in the field. The brilliant LED provides charging status while the battery charges. The peak-detecting charger is optimized for charging Traxxas Power Cell NiMH battery packs. Just plug the included Power Cell battery in for a perfect charge, run after run.

The included iD-equipped 3000mAh, 8.4V, Power Cell NiMH battery delivers all the performance that’s been engineered into your Traxxas model. Power Cell batteries deliver free-flowing power and maximum punch with premium quality construction. Optional Traxxas iD chargers (sold separately) auto-detect Traxxas iD Power Cell batteries and automatically set and optimize charge settings for unmatched charging safety and simplicity. For even greater speed and runtime, a full line of optional NiMH and LiPo batteries are available.

LED Lighting

Rustler 4X4’s LED lighting extends your fun long after dark. Four brilliant white lights illuminate the path ahead while dual red LEDs let you track Rustler’s progress from behind. The lights are protected behind rugged bumpers and the entire system is waterproof for worry-free performance.

New Low-CG Chassis

Rustler 4X4 rides on a new low-CG chassis that has been lengthened 20 mm for extra stability. The low center of gravity and wide track width helps the Rustler 4X4 stay planted in the turns for thrilling high speed fun.

All-new heavy-duty suspension arms are stronger than ever before. Molded from a tough new composite material, the arms stand up to even the most punishing drivers and resist breakage for non-stop fun behind the wheel.

High Angle Bumpers

Tough reinforced bumpers protect the chassis against impacts. The specially designed front bumper provides a high approach angle that allows the Rustler to climb up and over obstacles with ease. The rear bumper easily accepts a wheelie bar to keep the Rustler’s explosive power under control.

2.8” Black Wheels with Talon EXT Tires

The Rustler’s large 2.8” black wheels provide terrain-conquering ground clearance and a commanding presence. Aggressive Talon™ EXT tires dig into dirt and grass for outstanding 4X4 traction. The EXT’s tire compound provides extra durability on pavement with a unique design that resists “ballooning” at high speeds.
